Actually, Lallu Singh had talked about constitutional amendment regarding BJP’s slogan of crossing 400. Which proved to be dangerous for the party. A video of him went viral on social media, in which he is seen saying, “Government can be formed even with 272, but a government of 272 cannot amend the constitution. For that, more than two-thirds majority seats are required. Or even if a new constitution has to be made.”
Paper leak is also an important issue
In the BJP’s review report, this statement of Lallu Singh has been considered fatal for the party. It can be said that his statement strengthened the claims of the opposition parties that the BJP has abolished reservation among Dalit voters. However, along with this, issues like paper leak have also been cited as an important reason. Paper leak had emerged as a big issue among the youth in Uttar Pradesh.
